Thanks for all the support from everyone. Made it easy to design a system! My plan at this point is to mount the headers and collectors to the engine before I put it in the car. Then once I get the car all put back together take it to a muffler shop to put the rest of the exhaust in. If I had a lift and a tube bender I would be all over attempting to do this myself but...since I don't I'll pay to have it done. Funny thing is that it really does go together just like building legos or something.

I can't wait to get it in the car...It's really great being able to use this site to study and bounce ideas. I feel like we all make better decisions, save money, and get it right the first time much more often than not learning from each others experiences.

Cheers!

Use a set of these.

They should be easy to install with the engine out of the car.
I moved the post to this thread...

Great tips! I looked them up and found them at Summit. The only thing is that when I tried to figure out which ones I need it narrowed it down to two versions. One with the shorter bolts like you mention and the other with longer bolts. I am using the Ceramic competition headers and have a 351C. Do you know which one I should be using? Here are links to the two I found.

Thanks,

I've had the best luck by heat cycling the engine/exhaust a few times before installing the clips, when everthing is cooled off good retorque the exhaust a final time then install them. This was several years ago and they may have changed the clip design.
