1973 mustang convertible(some day)
I dont think it is...For one i think ford perches on 71-73 are non adjustible "could be wrong" And i believe it should have a part number on the bottom of the perches...these have none...One way to tell sometimes if they are original or not "if i remmeber right" Is the numbers of the bottom of the perches...Perches should have casted numbers ..If i remeber right.

I went threw this a little with my fin...It has perches way too tall..Come to find out..They are from a earlier stang with adjustible pearches...But i was reading some were they should have casted numbers "maybe even stamped" On the bottom of the perches...I know Don will know for sure;)

Mine "looks" like that and yes they have casted numbers under the pedestals, I believe the casting number is DIZB?

You might call ahead. I called them and asked about window cranks and was told they wouldn't send someone out in the yard to look for such a small item. I was a bit surprised and that the stuff relationships are built on.

Definitely worth the trip for parts

It looks like an original. I have the stands from my spoiler in my toolbox and they look exactly like those in his pictures. The originals are adjustable. Should be semi gloss black (or matte), not full gloss black.

Was not sure on that one...Mine does not have original fin anymore..Some one stuck on a 69 mach 1 fin with 69 taller perches.

But i dont think it is original...No ford markings on the bottom of perches....Nor casting numbers...Even my 69 fin on bottom of perches has ford markings and numbers.

Those perches are wrong. I have mine in my hand and both sets are hollowed out on the bottom. They carry a D1ZB part number and use studs not bolts for attaching hardware.

I sent the guy an Email and asked him what the distance was between the studs on center. He said "3/4 of an inch"....I replied with, 'how about from left to right?'

No response, yet. My 71 had a spoiler on it, even though I'm sure it was an aftermarket piece. Aren't there a couple of widths used over the years? I don't think the 69/70 are the same as 71/73...

Those are the repro plastic stands

Originals are cast metal, hollow and have the P/N cast into them.

Yep, I noticed those didn't appear to be hollowed but I wasn't sure if that was because a gasket was still on them or not. Not OEM but the price is right if someone is just looking for the look.

mounting holes

71 - 3's should be a a bit over 33 on C to C

69 - 70's are close to 36 inches

A good repro is 150.00
