Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Started the side window Gutter delete project early this morning.

Cut out the old gutters, migged the edges and then overlayed sheetmetal over the top for a nice flat surface to mount modern rubber.

The control system will automatically lower the window 1/2" when you have an identified key fob and you pull slightly on the door handle. After which the electric door solenoid will open the door. On closing the window will rise automatically once the door is closed. Similar to modern vehicles.

New metal welded in.

Inside post look I decided to weld new metal to make the top totally flat. This way the new rubber has a good chance to totally seal round the window top edge

That looks great. Ive wanted to do that to my car depending on the cost (delete rain gutters)

Thanks.

Biggest exterior mod yet to come. Custom LED sequential 1968 Shelby tail lights and custom rear spoiler with clear LED back up or red for brake indication.
