1971 mustang convertible, 351C bored 30 over c6 with a shift kit
Hi All,

I am looking for help in finding the measurements for installing a stencil kit for a 71 Mach 1. I have looked everywhere and can not find any. The kit includes Mustang Mach 1 Complete Stripe and Decal Kit - Includes mid body hockey stripes applied to fenders doors and rear quarters. Trunk lid stripe with quarter extensions. Includes 2 fender and a trunk Mach 1 name decals along with the Mach 1 NASA (NACA) Hood Paint Stencil Kit. I do not have the measurements for the placement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Ed

This site is pretty good for any and all info you need.

When I did mine, I bought my stripe kit from Graphics Express. None of them are perfect, but G/E is the best I found. I set my car level at the door sill and used a laser to plot the top of the stripe along the length. The top needs to be straight.
LOTS has been posted on hood layout. Again, when I had my car painted, my guy used the stencil as a guide only, he was worried about paint bleed at the joints. However, I f'd up and told the painter to set it 2" from the front, forgetting that the front trim piece was not on. My car, like many, has a 3" spacing at the front edge.
