First off I just want to say do be too critical on me since this was my first time doing this. I wheeled the floor and then used some simple Navel Jelly to eat up the rust. I used some rust-oleum to seal up the exposed metal until I get the Lizard Skin to apply on top. Unfortunately I didn't get away with the floor completely...the drivers side from the firewall to the seat will need to be replaced. Do they sell just the drivers side pan? Anyway, I still have more to do but overall I felt it came out pretty good.

Looks like you are making good progress. COncerning that floor pan side piece you mentioned, I'd check with Don at Ohio Mustang (OMS on here) and Mike at (MotorcityMustang on here).

One of them would possibly have one on a car they could cut out for you.

Awesome work!!

I have just one question: with the first picture, we see an electrical cable on the floor with two connectors just under the passenger seat( and the driver seat as well). Can someone tell me what it is?

Thanks!!

Régis

Someone correct me if I am wrong but the one lead on both sides is the seat belt light sensor. The additional lead on the passenger side is most likely the automatic seat back release.

Hey better that you are doing it you could be paying some overpriced shop $150 and hour and they pay some drop out $15.00 and hour to do the work. You will know what you have and looks like you have a pretty solid car for a change. Keep on working.

A friend just bought a new Nissan pick up and he wanted some fancy graphics that Nissan has put on the shop rate at the Nissan dealership is $150 and hour. Can you believe that. He let someone else do it.

Once I get my phone back up and working tonight I need to post a pic of one of the wires that I was questioning. The seat itself had 2 connectors and I would agree that at least one is for the seatbelt light, but there was a single wire the I believe was purple with yellow strips and it had a single connector on it. Not sure what this wire was for? It extended passed the seat? It wasn't connected to anything when I found it. I'm guessing it was for an option of some sort?
