I purchased a new ignition switch recently and installed it the other night. (went to O'reilly's cause NPD was out of stock). After installing it, the car turns-over great BUT when turning it over all the way, it seems to go down (meaning turning the key more) than you typically would have to and it isn't springing back like it should. I am not sure if something needs to be lubricated or adjusted? Anyone have this issue, or any suggestions. Before installing the new one I didn't have any issues with it springing back and such. If nothing else, maybe it's just a bad switch I bought, but wanted to know other solutions before exchanging it.

Did you replace the switch, or the lock? The switch is adjustable by the mounting screws.
I replaced the actual switch piece with wiring sticking out of it. The cylinder/key are the same that were there.
Sounds like you need to loosen the screws and slide it just a bit toward the floor. You must have the lock, and the switch in the same position..."off" or you can get it out of wack

Ok. Thanks. I'll give that a try this weekend.
