Hi Mustang owners,

New issues discovered:
1. When switching to R from the Garage it shuts down, so I need to give it gas as I am pressing the brake at the same time? Today it shut off on me 3 times as I was trying to pull out.
2. When riding around the block, I had to gas it a bit extra since it felt it's not getting enough fuel from a slight press of the Gas Pedal.

Things we have done:
- Changed the water pump + gasket
- Changing the timing cover + gasket
- Changed the timing chain

Any ideas how to improve this?

Thank you,
- D W.

If you didn't change anything else, like adjusting the timing or carburetor adjustments, you may have installed the timing chain a notch off or your old chain was stretched so much that the new chain caused a significant change in timing.

With an issue like this, always start with the basics, spark and fuel.
