Motor is ready to fire but noticed my double or tripple oversize oil plug is leaking. Any easy fixes?

Do you want to fix it without taking the plug, ergo, the oil off??

Just a thought here but what if you unbolt a couple of twists and in those gap you get, you use the product plumbers use to seal their pipes? Unfortunately in English I have no clue of the name of the product but in spanish is called "cañamo" and it has the looks of a natural kinda fiber... Just like a very thing dry grass... Jeje!!

Well... You can google cañamo and see if that can worth a try! Hope it helps!

If the washer won't seal the leak, sounds like the plug has been cross threaded. Will probably eventually need a new oil pan. They are easy enough to replace unless your cross member is welded on like mine. Then it takes more time :s

ya i was thinking about going with the time swrt solution. wasnt sure if anyone else used it at all.

I grind out the threaded area and tig weld in a modified grade 8 nut whenever I rebuild an engine.

im looking into the time sert thing. if that fails (which i hope it doesnt because there about 110 a kit) im going to tigweld the nut on. Thanks
