Okay.... wayyyyy back I bragged about my 67 coupe where I raced a 396 Camaro and was chased down (and NOT caught) by DPS. The subject was where. I claimed it was in Whiskey Flats Tx. Here's a little validation the place is real.

:D:D

Wow. There was a good driver 71 T-Bird for sale here in town that I was seriously interested in. They were asking $5500, as it was in driving condition and in reasonably good shape, although rust was forming under the vinyl roof and along the seams in the engine compartment. I tried to negotiate down to $3500 but couldn't reach agreement. $2k for that pile is a bit too much.

oH WAY TOO MUCH! even if the car was collectable.

Whiskey flats I thought you could only get there around 4am and it ain't always in Tejas.
Really cant find any historical evidence in how the area came up with its name. Some claim it was related to an old alcohol ban in the city limits of Ft. Worth. Have no idea if there is any truth to that. But the place exist and it's really cool to brag that you were chased by the law there .... :D and its even better to claim and telling the truth that you were chased for being an outlaw in a high performance Springtime Yellow 67 Mustang and NOT CAUGHT!!!
