well I took my car to shop since I had a leak in the rear passenger tire and it turned out to be axle seal. Upon inspection it turned out I needed a lot of mechanic work done and performed on my car, ended up spending $3400 and it will take around 10 days to finish.
is this a good price for the below stuff (My AC was the biggest bill), also is the car going to drive differently ( better ) when its done.
HERE IS WHAT I DID:
-Bent Rear Passenger axle shaft. found a used one from a member on Facebook.
- Rear axle bearing & seals
-all my brakes front and rear were bad and I only had one working which was front right, changed everything, lines, drums, shoes, pads, caliper, springs, etc.
-Fixed my factory AC by getting new York compressor, lines, expansion valve, drier, flushing the whole system. Also my AC unit control was not working and its wiring issues.
-Tachometer not working. fixed it by tearing down cluster and fixing wires.
-Gas gauge reading wrong, changed sending unit and now its working correctly.
-timing was off.
-carb adjustment.
-kick-down cable was loose and not dropping gear by itself, fixed it.
-SWAY BAR bushing were bad, replaced them. All other rubbers and bushings around the car are in good condition and no need to replace them.
-replaced all 4 shocks front and rear with KYB GR2. My old air shocks were very worn out and bad and leaking like crazy.
-Power steering was leaking from front, turned out the front gasket was bad, rebuilt with a gasket seal kit.
-Fuse box all old and wires out of it. Fixed wires and fuses
-Wheel Alignment
