wiper switch removal

I have read the other posts on this but just wondering, Do I have to remove the fuse block to pull the wiper switch out of the dash? I got the knob off and the bezel, but dont have room to pull it back enough to get it out of the dash. I loosened my fuse block, but it didn't want to drop, and I didn't want to force it. Any insight would be helpful!

I seem to remember being able to wiggle mine into position... but I don't believe I had to remove or loosen the fuse block.

I know it's tight though, that's for sure.
