This is my trip to the tillamook air museum and the worlds largest wooden structure...Old blimp hanger..Allmost 200 foot high...Doors are over 120 foot tall and over 30 tons each...Enough room for 6 football fields on the floor...Its was quite breath taking when i went in...I go down to the oregon coast alot...And allways wanted to see the big hanger...Some pics from there...As you can tell..Even the guppy out side looks small to the hanger..lol

Got more..But im tring to make them smaller..lmao I tried to upload them and poof...it didnt like them big pics..lol

Yeah, they were talking about one of those hangars on an episode of Mythbusters (when they were folding a giant piece of paper more than 7 times).

That F4U-4 Corsair is the shiznit!! Love those planes! Also, that Messerschmitt BF-109 is awesome as well. Definitely need to U/L more pics!

Ok... A few more pics sence i been tring to resize them..the site didnt seem to like how big they was..hehe...this first one is neat..its a old radio controlled plane!! two stroke motor..Got to be the oldest one i ever seen.lol..Even the catalina looked so small in that hanger..Amazing how it dwarfed all the birds in there....I guess one man owns them all..And they all fly besides the mig and the f-14...The guy giving me the tour said he had more money than god for one man..Usualy a millionare has a hard time keeping one flying..lol....Plus he was being nice to me..Cause he told me he liked my welsh girlfreind's accent..lmao..He was quite the old player i tell you what..hehe...But what a good time we had there..I would stop in if your ever over that way...we had a blast there.

they had open cutt up planes you could play in too...i took a pick inside a few of them...And he sure had some funky old gyro choppers in there.

And i like that last picture...they had that in there bathoom...So i had to snap a picture of it...Was a guy in the 1950's flew his plane threw...I guess he wasnt suposta too!! lol..great picture i thought.

Great pics! Thanks for posting! I had never heard of the BF-109 called anything but an ME-109, and I've read a zillion WWII books. Learned something new today. :)

Doc
Thanks!! And yes BF-109 is the official name...made by the Messerschmitt...So i think americans kinda gave it the ME-109 name cause of the company that built it.....BF-109...BF-109 E..For emil...BF-109 a..b..c..d.<~~ all diffrent models..And BF-109-f for Friedrich i believe..I like my old war birds..hehe Ever try aces high? Its a kick in the pants if you like ww2 games...very realistic flights..just about any plane you want....you can put all your freinds in the same bomber with you..and they can run the guns..massive multi player..tanks and base capture with 3 countries going at it.....I would be there right now if i wasnt tring to save a penny for rebuilding my car..lmao...Only like 14 bucks a month..But that can make a diffrent sometimes when your already paying for so much..lol

Game sounds like a ton of fun. I'd choose a B-17 Flying Fortress with about 15 of my friends to man all those turret guns. Cool post!

Doc
Its a kick in the pants...And you can put the bomber on auto and jump in the gunner or bomber spots too..lol Got to set your speed and alt on the bomb site and dump on bases...And on the ground..real online people in tanks you can drop on...in jeeps...half tracks...all that battling going on below you..lol...and interceptors tring to get you..262's and such...and hopfully you got freindlies in the area to help....Boats...planes ...tanks...take c47 in and try to capture a base by dropping troops...and hope they dont get shot on they way in...lol.Its defenatly worth it..But it isnt easy..The planes fly close to the real thing and will stall or break a wing if your going to fast..lol...you can just fly and do whatever you feel like realy..No borders or anything in this game.. their trailer

bit better one:)

Actually, I was unsure when I posted that (I'd heard Me 109 as well as Bf 109). But I remembered building a Monogram model kit as a kid and it was a Bf 109 (I built a LOT of WWII planes back then).

According to the Wikipedia entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messerschmitt_Bf_109 both are correct. Apparently, the early models were 'Bf 109' after the company that designed the plane (Bayerische Flugzeugwerke). In July 1938 when Messerschmitt acquired the company, the designation changed to 'Me 109.' SO - we're both right!

I learned something new today as well. :D

Awww ya i wasnt totaly sure on that...i figured we could of gave them the name...lol...kinda like the betty..kate..and other jap planes we named and still call today hehe...You do learn something new all the time...lol
