1971 Boss 351 - original owner
Can someone explain to me which types of fuses are used on a 1971 Boss 351 i.e. SFE, AGX etc. The vehicle uses 4, 14, 15, 20 amp fuses but is it for example 20 SFE or 20 AGX? Does it even matter?? thanks so much

Yes, it matters. One 20 amp fuse is longer than the other. I'd tell you which, but everything is in storage and currently unavailable to me.

Check out this post... https://www.7173mustangs.com/thread-fuse-block-diagram

As I recall the 7.5 and 14 amp are SFE and the 2.0 or 2.5 amp is AGA.

Also Cj Pony Parts sells a kit which includes all fuses needed for 65-73 cars, but I see it does not include a 30 amp for A/C.

use Kit Includes:

- Five (5) 2.0 amp AGA Fuses

- Five (5) 7.5 amp Fuses

- Five (5) 14 amp Fuses

- Five (5) 20 amp SFE Fuses

- Five (5) 20 amp AGW Fuses

Thank you

I typically supply the 14 amp fuse for the 15 amp location, as that is what was used in prior years and the 14 amp fuse is more readily available than the 15 amp version.
