    Pre-Heat Shroud?

There is a far-flung possibility that I can repair this shroud by cutting-out the bad area and making a flush patch. That is called a "long shot" but worth a try. Can anybody tell me how it is mounted to the manifold? Maybe even a picture? Surely it is not secured with the manifold bolts...

    Pre-Heat Shroud?

1973 Mustang 351C 2V  Code H Hi All;      This thing is called by several names.  Pre-Heat Shroud, Exhaust shield....... It pre-heats inlet air before it goes into the Air Filter. Does anybody know the part # or even the orthodox name ? Also, where can I find one that doesn't cost like the...

    air ducts

'73 Tang, 351 Cleveland 2V.    Hi all There are two ducts that go to the air cleaner.  One is plastic (rectangular) and the other is round aluminium. Where can I find replacements?   The plastic one looks a lot like a "Crown Automotive J323 1980 Air Intake Tube"  but there is no mention of it...

    Distributer Modulator Valve

I think I have sorted-out the lion's share of the Vac hoses. The Tranny still waits until a high RPM before it shifts. However, when I connect the distributor vac hose, the engine spits and sputters and runs very rough. When I cap it and the hose off it runs real good. Anybody have any ideas...

    Distributer Modulator Valve

My 351C is a 2V. I am getting closer to getting them all sorted but still have no lines going to the Dist.Modulator valve (it has only 2 ports) and the EGR connection.

    Vacuum hose woes

Ugh !!! Just when I think I have gotten some of this sorted-out, today the engine started running rough and spitting. also the transmission changes gear very late (high RPM). I had to disconnect and plug the distributor Vac hose for it to run good enough to go get fuel.

    Distributer Modulator Valve

I knew there was something I forgot to add. It is a '73  351 Cleveland 2V. There are a boat load of Vac lines.  Whew !! I think I have found where it Physically is attached to the engine. If I am right, it mounts to one of the valve cover bolts. There is one bolt (not at correct location)...

    Distributer Modulator Valve

G'day all     I found the DMV in the boot but can't for the life of me remember where it mounts.  There are two wires that look like they connect at the Aft, Right side of the engine (Pax side).       Also where do the vacuum lines go? Ugh !!!  This Vac line installation is a pain. TNX Roy

    Vacuum hose woes

Hi All      I have an old '73 Tang, 351 Cleveland, 2V code H. It's running.  Just got some 1/8" hose delivered today. I have a schematic but it is worthless.  There were a lot more vac hoses than this thing shows. Can anybody suggest a good vacuum diagram?

    fan shroud

It looks like getting the right engine mounts and perches is going to take some time. I am thinking the smaller fan will be a good interim solution.

    Transmission Identification

1973 'Tang. 351C 2V Hi All;     I finally got the old girl out of the garage (on her own power).  Went thru the recommended break-in proceedure and so far things look good. The Tranny has been sitting for years and it was out of fluid. After servicing, I drove thru the hood and it will not...

    Silencer hangs very low

I agree.  I thought it looked like it needed to rotate 180 degrees but it is really wrong when I tried to rotate it. It should fit a lot better that this.    The problem is, the old pipe I took off may not have been right either. I have been looking for a detailed pic of one that is...

    Silencer hangs very low

I am asking the age-old mechanic's question: "what did I go wrong?" 351 Cleveland 2V.   Everything new from the heads to the muffler. New heads (1of them) manifolds (1 of them), "Y" pipe, exhaust pipe and muffler The old muffle hung low also but not this bad. I adjusted the "Y" pipe and it...

    Flowmaster Street Silencer

I have new pipes that are 2 1/4". Haven't bought the Flowmaster yet. can't find data on the size of the inlet. Is the Flowmaster a direct fit? I don't want to put any adapters on it.

    Flowmaster Street Silencer

I am getting close on getting the '73 Tang on the street. I was going to try to stay "stock" all the way but I am very tempted to install a Flowmaster. From various I am looking for a "cool" sound but not offensive. TNX Roy

    fan shroud

The old advertising slogan used to be "Ford has a better idea".  These changes to the 1973 engine mounts is NOT one of those "better idea".
