Hi All;

    I finally got the old girl out of the garage (on her own power).  Went thru the recommended break-in proceedure and so far things look good.

The Tranny has been sitting for years and it was out of fluid.

After servicing, I drove thru the hood and it will not shift by itself and it won't go into 3rd at all.

  The door I.D. tag says it is "Trans. X".  Is that a C6 or FMX?

It won't take Charlie Chan to deduce this is going to be $$$$$. LOL

Trans X is an FMX. I have a good FMX sitting in my garage. It is yours for free but not sure how you would get it from Iowa.
Hi Jason;

    thank you so much but I am trying to keep original engine and tranny.

Thanks for the information on the code "X".  You know your stuff.

Make sure your vacuum modulator is hooked up to manifold vacuum and that the lines are not split or deteriorated. Poor or no vacuum will cause the problems you're describing.
