Replacing the front springs on my 1971 Mustang

They look like the crap ones I got, 9 coils and thinner wire gauge. My originals are 8 coils. Somewhere I think I still have the specs. I'll take a look and post if I find it. If yours look useable and both the same, use them. Check Eaton for the correct specs for your car...

Replacing the front springs on my 1971 Mustang

Yep, I guess Scott Drake screwed up again!! Your front springs will depend on the specs for YOUR car. I'm not sure if Eaton Detroit Springs, will have the specs for your car, but I think you can ask them. In my case, the specs are for a Mach 1 with comp suspension, no A/C and manual...

Replacing the front springs on my 1971 Mustang

I bet I know the issue. I bought a complete front end kit from a Canadian supplier, but it was all Scott Drake stuff. While the UCA's and LCA's were 'ok', the springs were not. They were about 2" too tall, made from thinner wire and different coil count. My "guy" put them in with great...

Where the hell I have been and why your order isn't done yet.

Bob, that is quite the awakening story. Hopefully both you and Cheryl will recover fully to enjoy the rest of your years together. Thank you for sharing. Geoff.

D1AE heads, when did they start producing them?

I use Mustangtek.com for most of my info. However there are incorrect numbers here and there. There are some other info pages available on the good ol' net.

PBR and The Amazing Technicolor Paint Job

I did a fuel tank replacement with new SS lines and rubber tube replacement including a 3/8" solid fuel line to the Holley 670 cfm carb. Have questions? Ask away and please, ask before buying.

PBR and The Amazing Technicolor Paint Job

Paul, no doubt you have read posts on replacing fuel tanks and line recently. I have a massive hard-on for NOT using worm gear clamps on fuel lines. Please make sure to use approved proper fuel line clamps. The car will look great in that color and hopefully you'll have it done by your 91st...

Help locating a custom end link clamp

Sad isn't it these days when everybody is concerned about liability, no matter what it is. However I agree with you.

Help locating a custom end link clamp

Throwing in my 2 cents worth. If those are your machines, for a price you could make them for Tony.

    73 mustang won’t shut off

Believe it or not, it could be fuel. Back when fuel prices went stupid here in Ontario, I thought I'd try to run my 351C4V with 10:1 compression on regular 87 octane, 10% ethanol crap fuel. It would run on it somewhat ok, but when I went to shut it down, it ran on (dieseling). Fortunately I...

@Milalynne , My apologies, I had no intent to infer you were a dunce. The last thing any of us want or intend to do is put down other members. We're here to help, but can only respond to posts as we read them. Good luck with your racing endeavors.

Parts Wanted 71 Engine Bay Harness

Why not run your lights through relays and make your own. The only possible issue is you'll need to be able to use one of the old H4 bulb sockets for the switch. I converted my headlights to H4 LED's. made my own harness with relays. Diagram curtesy HiPoParts. I'll not go further on that subject...

Preparing my 71 mach 1 for road racing

The member you need to talk to is Tony-Muscle. Tony races his car and has all the knowledge you need to prep your car. However, from what little knowledge I have and this is just my own view point, you might have asked this question before you started spending money of "stuff". In my humble...

I am needing a tachometer gauge mounted

This is a Rocketman's ***** light conversion. It looks just like the original with the ***** lights still functional. I'm not sure IF you can add the ***** lights without changing the entire unit, but if you can, it will be worth it.

    351C where to start?

Yeah, it gets to be fun (or not so much) digging through the numbers to find out what exactly was done to your car. Bottom line; body condition, mechanically sound and overall a good buy. If it's not a concours car, then make it the best it can be to suit your taste. Personally I like to keep...

    1973 Mustang Chrome Exhaust Extension

Try NPD or other like CJ, some may still be in stock. Or try a Google search or e bay. They were on Mach 1's from 71 so not peculiar to 73's. Hmm, you might be right, they did not show on NPD's website.
