    changing odometer to different number

Is it possible to roll the odometer back?  When looking at ads it appears some have lower miles than the condition of the car.  I remember when I was a kid the used car lots got caught doing this.  I bought a dash setup on ebay and want to change to what I think my car really is.  The odometer...

    302 headers with manual trans

Installed the Mcleod MCL-1304 hydraulic throw out bearing and gave up the zbar when I couldn't find any headers.

    302 headers with manual trans

I tried a couple of different headers for my 5.0 with Ford gt40 heads with no luck.  The ports were always to small on the headers.  I kept the JBA 1650SJS headers and installed a hydraulic system.

    Hydraulic Clutch questions

pix image I installed these parts and it works great.  Very smooth, but I only have to push the pedal in a few inches.  There is no adjustment.  As the disc wears the bearing self adjusts.  The master cylinder full stroke is 1.4" and pedal to the floor is 1.25" so not  to overstroke. I don't...

    Hurst on toploader issue

upload image free wap My Hurst Competition Plus works fine without cutting anything.  I am thinking about making another mount and drilling a new hole where I have the X so the T handle will be closer to me.  The problem is the long throw tears up the shifter boot.

    73 alternator wiring Harness

This information from 72 wiring diagram in data section.  I think the harness is the same except for wire size.

    Hurst mounting bracket

My aftermarket Hurst Competition mount looks like it would work. Part number 3176. I am going to make my own and relocate a hole so the shifter will be tilted more toward the seat.

    FiTech EFI Install

I don't think the 71 had a choke wire. I tapped off the carb solenoid for my electric choke.

Need information on 1972 mach 1 dash...

My 71 has a wiring harness as an add on with assembly tag D1ZB-10C895-AB. This included the plug for the light, the plug for the warning buzzer, and plug to get power. The wires to the light are purple/white hash and purple/ora hash. [attachment=43027]

    Looking for Center Gauge Console

If you go with both lights and gauges would you have to install another set of sensors? Is there another place to install another oil sensor or water sensor? Could put a T in there I guess.

    Looking for Center Gauge Console

If you go the stock route, think about the wire harness to feed the gauges. If you go the aftermarket route, you will add your own wire. Also have to change out the sensors either way.

    Flickering lights

I had the same problem and installed the grounding strap from engine to firewall. Since then I noticed some dealers sell neg. battery cables with a ground terminal to be bolted to the inner fender and to the block. Anybody have a picture of where this terminal is bolted? This would eliminate...

    Toploader Seals

In addition to all the good information from DonC, I always drain the oil from the transmission before removing the drive shaft to eliminate that mess. I bought a cheap transmission jack from Harbor Freight and it works well, but you will have to raise the car alot for the extra height. Twenty...

315C V8 run on when shut off

I installed the same solenoid and that fixed my run on problem. You indicated your solenoid was connected to the coil 12v nearby. There is a 12v plug for this at the firewall and I used that. If you hooked to coil I think it's only around 7 volts.

    Thoughts on gas gauge fix

Seems like the 5 volts going to the temp and oil gauges would also be effected by a regulator adjustment.

    Hydraulic clutch?

I couldn't find anything off the shelf so sometimes you just gotta do it on your own. This is my master cylinder setup on a 71 without power brakes. This is the recommended 3/4 inch Wilwood compact master cylinder part no. 260-1304. Cost was 54 dollars. Full stroke on the cylinder is 1.4...
