HP Power Steering Hose Insulation Needed.

My guess is that the foam insulation is just there to protect the hose from getting damaged by the constant movement of the hoses as the engine moves around on the motor mounts as you drive it. The pressure hose sits on top of the shock tower brace and return one hits the drivers side shock...

    73 302 rotor cross ref

From what I can tell FD106 is a discontinued number and no longer available except as NOS. The only thing I could find is that it fit 1957-74 V8 Ford Lincoln Mercury Thunderbird & Truck. The FD311T is a current part number that fits our cars with the 302.351 and 429 engines.

    what is a good upholstry?

I need to buy the upholstery for my Mustang too, and here is the issue I have found: Most of the sellers out there do not stock anything or almost anything of the stock 71-73 Mustang upholstery. If anyone stocks anything it seems to be the TMI stuff. Unless you are looking for black, you usually...

    1972 Grande rebuild

Only issue with this is that you have a much better fit than Ford ever did. Those valances usually have a pretty big gap between the valance and the rear lower quarter panel. Very nice work, looks very good, I am sure that is how the designers of the car intended that to be.

HP Power Steering Hose Insulation Needed.

Weird thing is that the replacement pressure hose I bought had 2 pieces of the foam insulation, and the return hose had 1. Fit perfectly: https://www.npdlink.com/product/pressure-hose-power-steering/149128/209608?year=1971...

HP Power Steering Hose Insulation Needed.

Check this out, EPDM foam insulation, says that it is good to 300 degrees. Inside diameter 3/4" Wall thickness: 3/8" https://www.zoro.com/aeroflex-34-x-6-ft-pipe-insulation-38-wall-208-ac3438/i/G8546842/

    Oil pressure sending unit

The fuel cap is not the issue, the fuel tank has to be vented to work, although it is not supposed to be vented by that gasket, it will not hurt anything. If you have not run the car through the stock tank and fuel lines, the issue is probably that the fuel lines, or the sock inside the tank are...

Factory hole in side of head

That is just a blind hole on the head, it does not go anywhere. Underneath that hole is where the exhaust gas goes into the intake manifold. You do not need to block it and it was never blocked by the factory. All Cleveland heads have that hole.

    Size Matters.....???

The 71 Mustang I have is smaller than all of my other cars, by a lot. :ROFLMAO:

    Cool 73 Mach 1 video

Just saw this on YouTube and thought it was a cool video, seems to be from Mexico on a Mexican made 73 Mach 1. If you look closely at the door panels, they seem to have some weird faux wood on them not seen on USA cars:

1972 rear sway bar bushing kit

The kit you bought is the correct one. Those Summit bushings should work fine.

1972 rear sway bar bushing kit

If you have the stock sway bar, I feel your pain as I went through the same issue. I was able to get a repro sway bar end link kit, mine was all rusted out and I had to cut it off, but the 1/2" bushings for the standard Mach 1 sway bar is not available. Thankfully my sway bar bushings were still...

New problem, engine randomly dies, no spark

The first thing to do is to make sure that you have power to the coil. With the ignition on check the coil +. If you have power to the coil and the engine will not start and there is no spark, then the key cylinder and everything under the column should be fine. Have someone crank the engine...

    nothing seems to match

Part of the issue with your car is that it was a drag car, a lot of drag cars have no vin numbers as the cars are not registered and they are not run on public roads. Don't look too deep into this, it is not worth it for you. If the hidden vin numbers are no longer there, for whatever reason...

    Update: Fuel issue

This is a photo of inside the house I grew up in. I took this photo 10 years ago when my mom passed, I did not want to forget what it was to grow up in a cage. What you see here is the hallway that goes to the rooms. The room you can see at the end is the master bedroom, and you can see one room...
