     I may try a pair of needle nose vice grips and then try turning the outer end with vice grips.

    I have a set of open wrenches for a ratchet, but the don't fit in to the space.  The nut is 3/4 or larger.

    I received my parts to replace the ratchet shift in my C6 with the proper parts. Any tips for  removing and installing the new parts?  Any pit falls?

    Hopefully someone will take a look at this and give me an assessment. the first if a video that show the movement of the shift lever ( on the transmission). The make-shift clamp is sliding and not shifting the transmission. You can see at the left of the video the broken - maybe a weld...

    So I replaces the bushing an the slop is gone. However still will not shift. So I took the camera and laid it under the car to see the action. Here's the video: Tim

     That bolt comes off and insert the bushing.... I'll need a new neutral safety switch....the end had deteriorated - due to the heat here in S. AZ. Thanks for the link.

    Well I'm stuck.  I'm hoping someone can take a look at his video clip of my shifter. There is a lot of play in it as you can see. If  you crank of the volume you can here it click as it shift...sometimes - really quick - with very little movement then it won't shift at all. I've tightened...
