More shifting issues

1973 Mustang Sportsroof. Currently a work in progress!!!
Well I'm stuck.  I'm hoping someone can take a look at his video clip of my shifter.

There is a lot of play in it as you can see.

If  you crank of the volume you can here it click as it shift...sometimes - really quick - with very little movement then it won't shift at all.

I've tightened every thing under car.   Here is no tightening the nut under the neutral safety switch - there other side of that nut is flat, not sure if that's been altered or not.

From the amount of slop I'd say the bushing is gone and the hole is now egg shaped. Just a guess. Chuck

 
From the header title its sounds like you have bigger problems. lollerz

My wife is from Iowa....Monticello ( think that's the spelling).  will be there in Oct.

So I replaces the bushing an the slop is gone. However still will not shift. So I took the camera and laid it under the car to see the action.
