72 R sportroof 2F02R175496. Needs complete resto. Central Wa state car all its life. Gold glow with ginger. Just starting the disassembly. Hopefully be done by summer. Want to drive it to Yakima and park it in front of Valley Ford, the selling dealer, and get some cool pics!

Negative, coupe and convertible is totally different from the fastback as It is much taller. The fastback seat (upper and lower) is specific to the fastback, folding or non-folding, the upper and lower are the same. I believe the parts catalogs show separate listings for bodystyles.

Here are a few to show what I am starting with. The damper is the original D2ZX. This car spent it's whole life in eastern Washington, high Desert, until I bought it. Very rust free. It has its fair share of bumps and bruises.

Well, here i go! After sitting for 12 years it's finally time to start the resto on the HO sportroof. I took it up to my house this past weekend to start the diassembly. Engine shortblock and heads have been assembled. Gonna be fun!

86 is more desirable than the lower horsepower 84, but the 85 1/2 at 205 horse is just just tons more fun, rarer and far more desirable. Loved my 85 1/2!!
