Looking for a standard rear seat back for my '72 FB. Trying to repair the "work" from the PO who decided to try to convert to a fold down seat. I have the trunk divider/package tray assy and am now looking for a standard seat back. Are the coupe and convertible backs compatible with the FB? I have a serviceable bottom, and was told they were the same..................

I don't know for sure but it might be worth looking into. Don from OMS is a good source for info check with him and he might even have a seat for you.

Yeah, got my trunk divider/package tray from him yesterday. Just "lining up my ducks in a row" for when the weather breaks.

I know all of the upholstery kits have no reference to differences between any of the models - I think in this case, "one size fits all."

Negative, coupe and convertible is totally different from the fastback as It is much taller. The fastback seat (upper and lower) is specific to the fastback, folding or non-folding, the upper and lower are the same. I believe the parts catalogs show separate listings for bodystyles.

You know, you're right. ::thumb::

When I ordered mine, I only really looked at the Mach 1 interior kits. :whistling:

I just did a quick look at CJPP, and they do indeed have separate Coupe, 'Vert, and Sportsroof packages.

1972_00019_02.jpg Speaking of back seats has anybody ever sat in the back seat of a Sport roof (fastback)? I've only gone back there to clean the back window (which as you probably know takes a contortionist to do) and to wipe down the vinyl upholstery. In the 33 years I've owned my 72 Mach1 nobody has ever sat back there, not even my kids wanted to sit back there.lollerz

I have several

What color?

Don

I'm looking for a white fastback non-fold down seatback. I am assuming the bottom I have in the car is standard, so I am hoping I just need the seat back.

Right now just looking for availability and price......... I saw a green one on ebay for $25, but the auction is ended..............I had it saved on "my ebay".

I don't believe that is standard interior for a 71-72 fastback.

Should be even less fancy than that. :D

Maybe I'm missing something, but if you have the seat back the prior owner was using, it will work. For a fastback, the padded seat back and bottom is the same whether it's a fold down or not.
