Appears to be ok, some edge rust, possible some in the trunk edge, but looks better than my current one. Definitely needing it.

The filler panel between rear window and trunk is very common place for rust. Since the cars were not dipped there is nothing inside the panel to stop rust. Also if they sealer was not applied perfect just a pin hole lets water in from the rain gutter there. I have a California car and that was only place that had rust. I cleaned it up and brushed on some POR and new seam sealer. I had a parts car from Michigan that had zero rust in that panel that I used on another build.

I wouldn't use that por crap on my worst enemy's car. Do it right or not at all.

Mach 1's didn't come with roll down windows. So I have the glass, but I need everything else to make them work. 

My '73 Q code Mach has power windows and the rear ones roll down. Great to have when the weather is nice and just cruising in the car enjoying the exhaust sounds.

To my understanding, if your front windows were power, the back ones could roll down manual. If the front ones were manual, the back ones were fixed. Not sure what the logic was behind that.

All 4 windows in my car are power and I've seen other Mustangs with power having the same, all 4 roll down powered.

I've never seen the configuration you speak of and I've been in this hobby 39 years.

You are probably right. I know I've seen what I mentioned, but it was probably someone that added power windows to the front on their own. It may or may not be true, but I've also heard that all coupes, grande's and verts got roll down 1/4 windows in some form. It was just the Machs that got left out. True?

Power windows was on all four windows, no manual cranks involved.

The 71-73 sportsroof quarter windows were fixed unless optioned with power windows. coupes and convertibles had four retractable windows.

I do not know the build date since the door was replaced. I did take a picture of the dash VIN. Someone on here should eb able to narrow down the build date. Looks like this one was 110222 sequentially. My other cars are 164804 on 1/22/71 and 181027 on 3/4/71. Extrapolating those numbers it sure seems like it was an early build (if I understand it correctly this would have been the 10222nd unit built). I can't get pics of any date stamps with it on the lift. Let me know what you might be interested in. I was hoping to lower lift this wkend but supposed to be single digits this wkend. 2 of my cars will need to be outside and reluctant to do that when cold and won't do it when rain/snow forecast.

That sequence number is pretty close, mine's 1098xx so three hundred or so cars earlier. Early cars had left & right supports which is what I'm after, not sure when they changed to the single support.

I'm on the hunt for nice hood supports- mine are broken pretzels. The ears where they attach to the core support and where the front valance bolts are usually bent and damaged. If those parts are straight I'm interested!

Sorry for the delay.  i have been holding onto the parts in the picture since I took everything off my 72 Sprint that i could before junking it around 1992.  I think the part you are asking about is in the pic below.  It is the part from the vertical support to the grille, correct? At the top of the picture.

Those parts are on the vert i am parting out.  I think they are in decent shape but car is on a lift until the weather warms up and i can move some cars out.  It looks like that is at the end of next week maybe.  I tried reaching the parts from a ladder but not not feasible (or too risky).

How's the rear bumper? It looks good in the pic. Would it be at all reasonable to ship that to New Mexico? I also need a bottom trim piece for the grille.

Someone else had some interest in the bumper. I will try to get some close up pics of it today (using a step ladder).  The grille looks to be intact. If it is I would like to sell that as an assembly. The weather is breaking here. If it doesn't rain all day every day this week I hope to be able to lower the lift to start tearing it down.

BTW just for reference the VIN# is not how they went down the line. The VIN# is assigned early on and might take weeks to get all the right parts in to build. They wrote with grease pencil the build sequence for the day usually on the LF of the radiator support down low.,  Sometimes also in the license plate area. The VIN# did not go down the line in sequence. I have a 73 that sat for long time here is the Marti look at the dates. Do not know why it took so long to get the right pieces.
