My job is being sent overseas (not me, just my job) and, unfortunately, the Mustang is a toy, not a necessity. See it here.

I need to sell this soon. $3,000

Aw man, I'm sorry to hear that! :(

Mac, I am sorry to hear you have apparently been "hit" by the negative impact of our current economy.

You have what appears to be a very good family; I especially admire the relationship you have with your Son, Jake in approaching the restoration of the '71 together. That having been said, you are absolutely correct in reevaluating the things that are not necessities, considering the circumstances.

If I did not already have a 4-car garage full of Ford/Lincoln/Mercury products, I would seriously consider taking you up on your '71.

Good luck with the sale and with your "repositioning."

Sad news, but it appears you have your priorities in the right place. Hopefully in the not-to-distant future you will be able to get back to a nice 71/73 Mustang. Feel free to stay with the forums and join is some of the conversations. There are plenty of non-Mustang subjects going on here. Good luck!

Bummer Man - I wish I was closer and needed a project car... you have an irresistable deal otherwise.

Good luck, and as others have said, "Dont be a stranger just because you'll be between projects."

Good news and bad news! The good news is I have decided not to sell the Mustang! I like this car and job or not, it isn't costing me anything to just sit there so why not just keep it and figure our finances later so I can start the restoration? The way I see it there is enough manual labor I can do without spending a penny to get this going.

The bad news is, my job is still ending in September. Prayers are appreciated!

Mac

Great news your going to keep it. Hopefully you will find a job soon. Are they giving you any incentive to remain on the current job until September?

Thanks guys! Yes, Romans 8:28 does still apply as does Philippians 4:10-13!

As for incentives to stay on the job, no, since there will not be one here any longer and, worse yet, I am a contractor so there is no hope of a lateral move either. C'est la vie!

As far as particular kind of work goes...I am a voice over IP engineer and am seriously tired of the roller coaster world of layoffs and company closures and am seriously considering a change to something with less stress!

Hey Mac!! i´m glad you decided not to sell the car...

And as fot the job... dont panic Mac.. i´m sure something amazing will come up and you´ll be able to work as good as you can and happier than you are now thinking you can be....

Hang in there and be possitive! :)
