Bought a C6 transmission to my 429 and found this number (in the picture) on it. Anyone know what the letter Z stands for. According to the ID tag it is from a 70/71 429 4V floor shift.

Z is the boss 429 as far as I know. But the boss 429 was never built with automatic so that's out of the question. Grateful if anyone knows.

The Z factory was St. Louis, closed in 2006, but opened in 1948. Possible models were the Maurader, Monterey, LTD, etc.
