I have a leaking heater core and a nice soaking wet floor now. I need to remove the box to replace the core. I know that the heater box is about 500 feet wide in a very compacted area. Any thoughts, ideas, tips on how this thig drops out of there. I remember someone having a walk through on here but i cant find it. I know that the box has 2 sections to it. Can i only drop out the one side?

I also found out when I took mine out that the two piece that pull apart had a little gasket that helps keep it sealed. I did some research and the seal is nothing more than a premolded weather bead. I simply used caukling and seal it back, it worked great and I would also suggest that you take your drain tube that is located at the bottom towards the front and make sure it is not clogged.

It took me awhile to get it out but it was super easy to get back in. Good luck brother, I hope it turns out great.
