Apparently the barf bag is the only free bag. I just checked in for a Delta return trip from Canada--they wanted $25 to check it. I need to print this picture and rub their nose in it tomorrow morning.

FYI--the trick is, get through security with your bag, then 99% of the time the airline announces at the gate "This will be a very full flight, if you would like to check your bag, please see us at the counter for complimentary bag service". Never pay to check your bags, you don't have to!

Am I the only one that got the REAL message here?

Or, am I the only guy with a pair?

You know that's not PC, right? I thought the same thing!

BTW: Free bags are if you become a Delta Skymiles cardholder (AMEX), or at least a Silver Medallion status. Unfortunately I fly enough know too much about planes, and airports...

Yeah, I read the card while I was being punished in steerage class. I did my usual trick, hauled it through security then gate checked. Worked like a charm. Back to American Airlines and status tomorrow.

Funny pic!

TSA will let you bring a larger bag through their security check point?

TSA doesn't care what size bag you haul through, but common sense does apply. I try to carry on if I can because there is a time savings on the landing side. At the gate, if it is too big, they will stop you and may charge you. If it is of "proper size" or close, you might get on the plane with it or have to gate check. I was in Detroit a few weeks ago and the gate agent made me "try it in the sizer", of course it was too big without getting physical (I am talking about my suitcase Wolverine, not my privates), so she made me check it instead of carry on.
