Hi forum.....I need to get a good, high-quality car cover that fits my '71 fastback.

California Car Covers is one of the best but pricey. I found one once slightly used for $120.

Is the antenna on the car easily removable? Or is there a hole in most custom car covers?

Unless you install an antenna that can be unscrewed, you'll end up cutting in a hole for it in the cover.

If the car will be left outdoors under a cover, it may be worth getting a removable antenna.

No, because some cars have them, some don't, and some the owners mounted them in different locations.

that's why the covers come without the cut outs.

I installed a 1973 Antenna on my car so its removable.

Its not that big of a deal to put a hole in. Just determine where you need to cut the cover based on where the antenna is located.

There are hole grommets that are used so that the cover material doesnt shred off.

Good quality manufacturers of car covers provide you with a two-part grommet for the antenna. You cut the hole based upon where your antenna is. Antennas were installed by the dealers and didn't always stick to the recommended placement.

Cool...thanks guys.I bought Covercraft cover....with antenna grommet. I viewed a video on youtube about how to install the grommet.....all is good.
