American Car Magazine - 71/73 love?

The UK American Car Magazine did a feature on a 72 Mach 1 a few months back and asked if there was any love for the "aircraft carrier" Mustang. Thought I'd pitch in.

Aircraft carrier? Pffffft! A cruiser is a more apt term, being a bit smaller than a carrier, but larger than a oiler...

They talk about how big the hoods are on our cars. The BMW Z-3 roadster was so big only one steel mill in the world could make the steel large enough to stamp it in Japan. The hood was also the top of the fenders.

Someone recently remarked how long the hood is on my '73, but I believe the 1970 - 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo still holds the world record for "longest hood on a production vehicle".

There's all the space up from, but I can hardly get my kids in the back seats. My daughter complains they're "the most uncomfortable back seats in the whole world."
