Another part of my basket case 73 vert. I already did a visual image. Google Lens search on it can’t find anything unless it fits a Volvo lol. It’s about 1.25” between the “holes”, a wire piece, and flat. Thank you for your help.

For the fun I used image search. This is what it found.

• The striker is responsible for engaging the latch mechanism of the glove box, ensuring it remains closed.

It might be a glove box latch but it's not from a 71-73 Mustang or Cougar. They look like this...

It’s not the folddown and while it could work for the glove box, it’s not for it either ( or was custom made) . The originals for folddown and gloves box use holes going thru flat metal ears.
