If you live in Australia and are considering importing car parts etc.
Just be Aware that you do not have to pay import on items with a declared value of under $1000 AUD. If some one was to sent you parts as a gift then that same $1000 threshold applies. If you buy multiple lots of parts, wheels, transmission, break down the orders so they arrive in separate boxes with a declared value of under $1000 whenever possible. Just don't have 10 boxes arrive at the same time or questions will be asked. If you go over $1000 AUD you will attract duty and GST. GST is paid on top of any accrued duty.
If you have family or friends in the States that can mail items for you then make sure they always have a declared value of $1000 AUD![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
If your cousin happens to mail you a John Kaase big block as a gift well thats worth $900 bucks![Big grin :D :D](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Hope this little tip helps
