Well, No one told me this.... Guess thats me assuming. But I pulled the 302 auto out of it. and they had make shift mounts for the tranny because it was hitting. As well as It was a manual to begin with so I figured I got back to manual. Maybe a t5 or a 4r70w or tremec 3550

I will put a picture of what they used to mount it Mike

Well I will snap a shot tomorrow of it thought I got a picture but guess not.

Basically to give you a general idea they bolted a metal extension on each side of the trannys mounts that lowered it a good 2 inchs

A 351c and a FMX will drop write in. Was the car a 6 cyl and they put a 302 in it? Those engine mounts look home maid to me. A 302 with a C4 should now way it the fire wall.

Does the car have 4 lug or 5?

Yea the car originally had a 200 I6 in it manual. I beleive engine mounts are home main. And it is a 4 lug

Yup 4 lug 6 cyl car. You can swap the 5 lug front breaks from the other car.The rear axle from the 71-72 is to wide.:(

My brother has a 8 inch rear axle out off a 70 coupe that would roll rite in.

How much does he want for it? I'd have to see if I can get some money together

Picked up 2 T-5 from guy for a steal of a deal lol 2 for 240. Referred to him by a friend and he gave me a deal. So I bought both and will rebuild or just sell on to help cover the cost of them. I test both out. He had them in mustangs before I got there and I drove them both. Smooth as butter. Got almost everything I need for the conversion now. 1 step closer to dropping in the motor
