Baby it's Friggin' COLD outside

Started the morning with a trip to the (detached entrance) basement to relight the pilot light on my hot water heater. Thankfully it had warmed to 4 degrees Fahrenheit by then! Garage door seal was frozen to the pavement and buckled the upper door brace before it finally broke free (Insert curse words here-trust me they will be inadequate to truly convey my feelings at that point)

When was Nashville ceded to the state of Alaska?

Don't be feeling too bad, our skies are clear and blue and we are going to have a high in the double digits (12 degrees woo hoo!)

I'm tired of being tired, I'm sick of being sick; I don't need everything to work out now, but I wish it would, real quick.

We are getting hit with a deep freeze here in PA too. tonights low is expected to be -12 F with wind chill gusty into -20 to -30F. DAMN!!!

we hit a high of 52 to here in Rhode Island, and rain, but the temp is dropping like a rock with overnight lows around 5, which only means Icy roads tonight!!!

well I just checked the forecast, and they said that with the windchill we can expect -41 tonight. Now some of you might say is that C or F ..... it doesn't matter they are both the same at that point. As George Costanza would say " it was very cold and there was some shrinkage involved"

Here in Oklahoma City, now 19 F and the low is supposed to be 11 F tonight. Luckily we don't have much wind or we'd be in the negative number wind chill too.

I am sooo ready for the 50's, at least!

We are supposed to be warming up slightly soon.

I know I would not be prepared to handle -41 F wind chill!

Far out thats cold. Is this an annual thing or a 1 off event??.I seen some footage on TV of frozen power lines and lots of folks doing it tuff. Hope you all make out ok.The coldest i have ever been in is -6c for 1 day. Heat wave here in Queensland Au we should trade you a bit of tropical for a hit of cool.

Currently it's -8 F and I'm located in the center of a blizzard with winds at 30 - 40mph (visibility on my street is maybe 100 yds) with snowfall expected to be 2 -3 inches per hour. Travel bans are in effect. I'm actually south of the city - West Seneca / Orchard Park southtowns

Good thing I had not planned on taking the convertible out for a cruise anytime soon....

I woke up this morning to a frozen water pipe in our master bedroom shower. I had the sinks trickling water last night, but never thought to do it in the showers too.
