Anybody got a recipe for real Texas BBQ sauce :D
There are a ton of different sauces you can make...and in Texas you will find a large variety. Here's a wet sauce that I like to make for ribs and chicken.

* 2 cups Ketchup

* 1/4 cup dark Rum

* 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

* 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce

* 1/4 cup of Brown Sugar

* 1 tablespoon BBQ Rub - I use my own of course

* 2 tablespoons Molasses

* 2 tablespoons Mustard

* 2 1/2 teaspoons Tabasco

* 2 1/2 teaspoons Liquid Smoke

* 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

Bring to boil and simmer about 15 minutes...it's fantastic! Oh...and I'm in the heart of Texas down around San Antone...

Sounds good will give it a try. Care to elaborate on the rub a bit.

Any one tried Billy F Gibbons sauce piquant and BBQ. Just wondering as a ZZ Fan and because I Can't get it in Aus to try.

You can try this rub...it's great on pork (especially ribs) and other meats and to use in the BBQ sauce...

* 1/2 cup Brown Sugar

* 1/4 cup Paprika

* 1 tablespoon Black Pepper

* 1 1/2 tablespoon Coarse Salt

* 1 tablespoon Hickory Salt

* 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder

* 2 teaspoons Onion Powder

* 2 teaspoons Celery Seeds

* 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

And just for the record...you guys are the only ones in the world who get my special recipes... :) Mustangs rule!
