Cheaper Bellhousing Replace C9AA-6392-D

Is there a cheap alternative to the C9AA-6392-D bellhousing for a 1971 Mustang? Maybe a truck 429/460 bellhousing? Thanks!

Yes,

The truck 429-460 bell housing can be used, which I did successfully myself. Depending on what year motor you are using, the flywheel could have to be clearanced or a spacer plate will need to be fabricated. I used an 85 460 which has a thicker flywheel due to balance than the early motors.
