'CL" 71 Mustang for sale in my town

I came across this ad today on CL, this car is across the street from my Sister-in -law, its for sale.

its prity decent from what I have seen.

I don't know the person, but I have seen the car for the last 2 years.

looks like it just needs minor body work and paint.

Not a bad price if the body is in decent shape. Especially if the engine runs good.

How is it factory dual exhaust? Is it a M or Q code? If it's 2 barrel (H Code) it's factory single exhaust.

I'd need closer pictures, some under car shots before I'd agree to that price, personally.

RacerX - no cutouts in the valance and turndown tips. Were the cutouts only on M and Q code Mach 1's?

the car used to be outside, but now he has it in the garage, so I cant just driveby and check it out, I will try and call to see what engine code it has on the VIN.

If it has any significant rust at all (which I bet it will) it is overpriced IMO.

Yeah, for that price and rust issues it's a deal killer.

I drove buy it on my way home to day and took a good look at it, the guy was outside with it.

it is way over priced, it need both rear quarters, floor pans, large rot holes in front of the rear wheels, wheel wells, and the list keeps going, I think $1.5K - $2k MAX!! and it is not a Factory dual exhaust, its after market, you can tell by the way it was installed, but it did run decent.

As for the Exellent interior, the carpet is faded, the dash has cracks and the steering wheel is missing the center, it still needs a good cleaning.

LOL well there you go. If the ad was accurate then 5k isn't terrible. But with all the work that is required...walk away quickly.
