My 71 FB has had the cross member hit/twisted, so that it is partiallhy rotated towards the front of the car. How hard is it to replace that piece? Or is it just as easy to take it to the frame shop, and have them tweak it back into it's proper orientation?

Thanks!

Well, work has been a pain, so no free time = car not done. Free storage gone, and the car is now at the autobody/frame shop. Does anyone have these available new? Or do you have to actually remove and replace the shock towers in order to remove and replace the engine cross member? I am liking this car even less as my cost continues to go up....

There is NOTHING!! that can't be fixed.I believe that. Otherwise I wouldn't be working on what I'm working on. It's more therapy than anything else.

I have Cougar's for therapy, I need this one to find a new home! I want to leave Idaho, or at least be able to leave here in the next couple of months. I have everything else I need to get the engine and trans in, I just need to fix the cross member so that the motor will sit "square"...
