dash lights

my dash lights go off after about 15 minutes any idea,s on cause?

When mine did that it turned out to be the headlight switch. New switch solved the problem.

I agree with Sheriff41. The rheostat in your headlight switch is probably just worn out. Just replace it. Especially if it is original. I got my replacement switch from Napa. Although that was 17 years ago. I am pretty sure they still stock them. Keep us posted.

++ on the headlight rheostat. When your dash lights go out after 15 minutes try turning the headlight knob back and forth (as if dimming/ brighting instrument cluster). Sometimes that will get them on again.
