I have my origional snorkel breather for my 351cj. Is this the same base used for ram air just without the lid and the addition of a rubber seal to the hood intake box?

They are different but available as reproductions if you want to go that route. You will need a base, a seal, a top and the hood plenum and flappers if you are looking to do a Ram Air conversion. Also note the height issues you might encounter depending on the manifold you have.

Thanks. I was just wondering. The origional snorkel style doesn't flow enough even with a k&n style filter does it?

Any mods to make it flow better? I really like it but seems too restricted.
