Do these work for a 71 or does anyone have any for sale or know where I can buy them new? How many do I need?

You'll need a pair. I don't have them handy, but measure from the rearmost bow to the holes in the rear window frame. Worst case, make some from safety wire.

So I only need two and the ones for 1970 won't work?

I don't know if they're the same length as the 71-73. The 70 hooks show a 4.5" length.

Here Kev this might help. Shouldn't be to hard to modify the 69-70 ones.
