Ok guys I'm having a brain fart tonight. I cannot get the drive side remote for mirror installed. I know I'm missing a washer or 2nd part to the bezel. The control part just slides through the door panel. What the hell am I missing? I have been looking through my baggies of parts and can't find anything.

Kevin,

Here is what you need...they are reproduced if you can't find original.

I just had the same problem....could not find the dam washer or the chrome retainer/bezel. I had to order a washer. Found West coast classic cougar they still have some originals for about 3.50 + 7.00 shipping or NPD has the repro for the same price.

Ok thanks guys. I remember seeing that somewhere??? I bagged and tagged every but bolt and screw. Don't know why I can't find it!! It's in the garage somewhere. If I can't find it in next few days I will order a new one.

Great post. I'm currently in the same boat. I don't know if I have the right bezel though. Does yours thread on? I've put my car together from boxes and 3 different parts car lol

The washer slides on to the cable control lever behind the door panel and is keyed to orientate the remote lever vertically so when you move the lever up the mirror goes up. The the chrome retainer/bezel screws on to fasten the lever to the door panel.

Check in the very bottom of your door panel.  If you left it hanging, it may have slipped off and is inside your door.  The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago.
Yeah I looked in there... all over the place so far.  I had the whole bottom of the door cut out so I would of saw it if it fell in there. lollerz  Looks like I will be buying one. dang it! Anyone got one laying around?
