Hello Folks,

I've been plagued with the cursed Edelbrock bog for years.
Bought all the kits, moved timing, springs/rods, jets, squirters, blah, blah, blah.
While surfing the net I found this PDF from Federal Mogul on Carter AFB carburetor manual.
It does a great job of explaining function, setting and dimensions. Way better than the Factory Manual.
I wanted to share this with our group and I now have new information for setting up this carb.

I'll keep ya'll posted on my success.
Cheers,
Heavy Metal Florence, SC

I went through everything you did when I originally installed a 1406 on my Cleveland. I had that full throttle "bog" off the line. I recalibrated that thing until my head spun. I changed to a Holley with a vacuum secondary 25 years ago and never looked back. I sold the 1406 to a friend with a 67 Polara with a 383 and for whatever reason it works great. The Edelbrocks are more at home on a Mopar.
