That sucks man.....I have no had that happen too me in a long time...But i do run alot of security...always runing cleaners and extra firewalls...Dont trust windows firewall...And download atleast larvasoft free ad aware to dig out bot trackers and such...I know sometimes it does not matter and you just get hit with the right tracker at the wrong time.

Notify your email provider's security section, depending on the provider they should be able to provide you the IP of the person who managed to hack into your system. If it was just an individual who without some degree of technical savvy, the IP can be traced back to that person. You might be surprised who it was.

I tracked it myself and turns out it was a weight loss thing and they went through fox news. now I just have to set a little trap for them...two can play this game
