Emergency Brake handle

Ok folks during the brake fiasco that I have endured getting my car on the road. The E brake t-handle(pull knob) broke Have a replacement but how does the original come off? Still has one side still on it so did not want to apply to much pressure on it till I knew for sure

Surely all the brain power on here you guys are not stumped on this one

It should unscrew, CCW unless someone has glued it on. Where did you find a replacement? Is it now reproduced? I looked for one for a while then got one from OMS. Chuck
