Yea! I get to help Scott for once. It is the initials of the paint inspector applied as a QC Step. Often times they were placed on the right fender lip and on the passanger side door inside jam on the door for Dearborn built cars. I have examples of HH and WH on a couple of original paint cars I have researched. It is interesting though that I have seen both stamps or stickers inside the trunk lid with two capitol letters on original cars. I am not sure if stickers were used by some and stamps by others. OK, I am a concourse geek officially now right?

I looked on my 71 and it has a very faded PW or BW on it. My initials are PW so I am going with that!

Fun!

Nothing on my 73 -
