Personally I wouldn't worry about it on a 40 year old car as long as it all looks right.

What's devastating is on any newer car when it hits the computer and dash components.

After that much water, they'll never be right.

Sorry but after looking the pics, the car sustained more than just water in the floor boards.

Even the hood hinges and under hood areas are rusty. The speedo doesn't look bad but it could have been taken apart and cleaned.

And why are the door panels removed and interior restored for water only in the floor boards?

This one smells fishy - pardon the pun (sorta).

+ 2 they would not have totalled it for water on the floor boards

Now the seller doesn't say how deep the water was on the floor boards :dodgy:

May be why the last picture is of the head liner! :s

What a waste, insurance companies suck when they do this.

Looks like the car went for a swim!

Insurance giving cars salvage titles is a way of making future potential buyers and insurance carriers aware that the car had at one time had been totaled, personally I'm glad they do it. A lot of salvage vehicles can be a good buy, but at least you're going into the deal with your eyes wide open knowing it was at one time totaled.
