Rainin' cats 'n dogs in Pittsburgh!

Not much wind yet.

Looks like where I am we dodged this one. Didn't even loose power a lot of rain but I hope people in the north are doing OK.
Same here. Chesapeake is protected by Virginia beach to the East and Norfolk and Portsmouth to the North. Those areas on the water had it worse than us. Power never even flickered no ned for the liquor! All Those further up the coast I hope are faring well. MD, DE, NJ and NY stay safe. As well as MA, RI, CT and any other states with members in the path.

Imagine our friends in Penn, CT and New York and such are catching hell about now, prayers are with you...
+1 Praying everyone is ok!

To lighten things up a bit...

Why are hurricanes usually named after women?

Because when they arrive, they're wet and wild, but when they go, they take your house and car.

Back online from NY and VERY happy to have power again.

What a mess anything built by the water got screwed, lots of flooding , trees down, wires , even fires , etc. if you lived away from the coast you got mostly downed trees & wire damage but no flooding or fires

Took appx 1 week to get power w/o it was like living in the stone age with the exception there were no foot powered cars or wooly mammoth vacume cleaners

Glad our members are safe....the rest.... well I dont have any smypathy ,they were given more than a weeks notice and then wonder why they are stranded. Our hurricanes... 5 in fact. We left for 2 due to the information we had a WEEK before hand. Had a nice stay in a comfortable hotel...even helped pay for a few friends that couldnt afford a hotel.... all was good. I did have to intervene when our German Shepard chased some Mexicans down the hall. Other than that everyone was safe and fed.

Tomorrow will be one week without power for us.

the 100ft oak in my back yard blew over and is still sitting on my neighbor's roof. In addition our street has been closed since a tree and 4 telephone pole are laying across the road.

what bugs me the most is that there are a few elderly people on our street and would not be able to get EMT here in an emergency.

My place of work finally got power back on Saturday, so off to work I go tomorrow. Gotta walk through the mess and hitch a ride with a friend.

The good thing is I had the whole week to put the interior back in the car and it's all finished.

Ready to roll when the road is cleared.
