Good Afternoon,

I have a question regarding the orientation of the front crank seal. The engine is a 351 Cleveland 2V. Does it install from the backside of the timing chain cover? and can this be installed without a press?

Thanks in advance

George

I t installs from the front and a press is not necessary. Remember to coat the outer edge with some type of sealer or red loctite where it is metal to metal. You do not have to remove the front cover and it can be done with the crank in place, but be cautious not to gouge the crank. I've used a pair of hooks to pull one out by working around it. When installing the new one, tap it in evenly and don't let it cock off to one side.
