Good Day to All,
While preparing the replacement (pulled from another coupe) front seat platforms, we noticed stress cracks on the corners. Here is the beginning and finished platform.
As you can see, we reinforced the corners of both left and right hand side.
Side Note: If you plan on re-upholstering your front seats, I recommend to visually inspect the metal to look for stress cracks. I found them in the back side of the lower seat and bottom of the upper seat. I would recommend to reinforce the back area due to metal Fatigue. If you look close and hard enough, you see tiny stress cracks due to the wear and tear of the seats.
