Today at about 20 minutes past noon (local time) there was a thuderous noise and our house was hit by a blow that made our windows rattle.

Turns out there was fire at a farm about 4 miles in a beeline away from us and the buildup of heat caused a hangar to explode that contained 6000 chicken. None of the chicken have survived.

Gotta go check my backyard for grilled chicken... :s

The bang was reported to be heard all the way to the Bitburg area in Germany, some 40 miles linear distance away from us.

Roy, uhm... you do know that the "Bitburger Drive" you posted is alcohol free beer, don't you? :p

On the Sauerkraut subject: It does not really go with chicken, but with Bratwurst it can't be beat! Dang, I'm getting hungry here!

If you guys like beer, than a trip to Luxembourg is a must-do! Our beers are even better than most German ones.

Oh, and we got some cooool bottle designs!

LOL nope, just pulled up a Bitburger sign and posted it. Dont think the had alcohol free when I was there:huh:

I used to drive from Hahn Air Base to Bitburg Air Base to go to their NCO club that was nicer, and had more females, than ours did. It was a long cold drive in a 1966 VW in winter.
